2017 looks like it is going to be packed with activity. So far, two students have joined the lab, and we are expecting a few more for the summer. Josune works with Lorea in a beautiful project studying the role of miR-301 in Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinomas (abbreviated as HNSCC). HNSCC are the 6th most common cancers worldwide and 3rd most common cancers in developing world. It will be great if we can provide the world with a potentially new useful biomarker. Andrea works with María and Angela in the breast cancer line of the lab. She is specifically optimising a lentivirus-mediated OSMR depletion in basal like (ER negative) breast cancer, and this project will be part of her Master´s Degree. Great way to get your MhD, Andrea!
They look like they got on very well, don´t they? Past Students also looked like they had a great time with us. In support of this, we share here what Maike prepared for us at the end of her stay. It might be of interest for future Students who would like to get to know us better before joining in ;-D
